The vineyards, olive groves, and truffle farms

With its beautiful vine-covered countryside, the Languedoc, (and more especially the Uzès region) is colourful and rich in natural resources. Many activities revolve around winegrowing: fairs, harvest festivals.

Olive oil is the region’s second most important source of agricultural production.  Olive trees dot the Languedoc, giving it a unique atmosphere. There are three olive mills in Uzès.
The third most important agricultural product is truffles. One estate in Uzès is specialised in truffle farming.
